Even though it seems to be so...

We have not exactly fallen off the face of this earth. We are just kind of taking a very long break...updating every now and then. Why? you ask? Because of our very busy schedules. :) Because we would both like to graduate high-school sometime within the next two or three years (yes, one of us wants to graduate early.... :), so we are kind of....busy. :P

SSC Sugar Cookies With a Twist! (Sunshine Meals #1)

These turned out yummy!   Due to some technical problems, we can't get a picture up right now.... but will try to get one soon!

Great for a get-together, and with a glass of milk!

INGREDIENTS

3/4 cup butter

1 3/4 cups sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 tablespoons buttermilk

2 cups self-rising flour (may need up to 1/4 cup more)

About 70 chocolate chips

Enough cinnamon to sprinkle over about 55 (depending on how many you make) cookies

Optional: Sprinkles 

     Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, and buttermilk (with electric mixer). Add flour & continue to mix enough so that it is well-mixed in. Drop by teaspoonfuls on lightly greased sheet. press cookie dough slightly and add cinnamon. Place one chocolate chip on the middle of the cookie. If sprinkles or colored sugar is desired for topping, lightly sprinkle on top. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until they look done. (slightly brown around the edges) Remove from sheet while still warm... otherwise, they will stick! Store leftovers in an airtight container.
